“ Great service, variety on the menu, breakfast is served until 3PM, and fairly priced. Came during lunch and left pretty satisfied. The chicken quesadilla is packed but salsa is extremely mild so they ought to remove spicy from the description. My lunch partner ordered the burger, he seems to have enjoyed it. My gyro (beef) was good, meat was not dry. They offer a variety on the menu; breakfast served till 3PM, burgers, salads, classic American flare, pastas, Greek, even Mexican though the quesadilla was advertised w/ a spicy salsa but it was mild. They even have a bar! And TVs at the bar for any sports watching. Overall very decent meal and wonderful service. ”

“ Great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff is the best you will encounter in San Jose! Shout out to Rafa and Pedro! The bartender and Owner Tony makes a mean drink! The Jefa that runs the place can be seen cleaning up and laughing with customers throughout the day. Those are just the main characters, but every employee here has shown nothing but respect and a great love for what they do. It is definitely a locals kind of joint but very welcoming to newcomers. The breakfast is my favorite with the Willow Glen scramble and John's Steak and Eggs taking the top spots. ”

“ Great people who work here, like seeing family and always greeted with happiness and love! Been coming here for years, and it just consistently keeps being great. breakfast is our go to here and the late bird croissant sandwich is a favorite as well as any of the Benedicts. They offer a chicken apple sausage Benedict that is delicious and comforting with a hollandaise sauce that is always spot on and definitely homemade. We highly recommend coming for breakfast at this neighborhood gem. And the remodel is still clean and inviting and we love the bar and outside seating area! ”
“ Have always loved breakfast at Johns and the new lunch/dinner menu options have turned out to be excellent. We have tried the surf and turf as well as the coconut prawns. You can tell they are getting quality cuts of meat and seafood, and the chefs are doing a nice job with the final product. Of course, you can't beat the ambience of the new bar as well as the number of TVs to watch your favorite sports game . Overall, enjoying the refresh, and the people are fabulous as always. ”
“ Honestly surprised. Reviews didn't look great, atmosphere was half bar half diner, however the food, portions, and service sure came through. Came here to celebrate a birthday. The menu had breakfast, lunch, and dinner on it. A lot of options, the cuisine was all over the place. American, Greek, Mediterranean, and Italian. My grandpa got the rib and shrimp dish and he really liked the sauce the shrimp came in, wouldn't stop talking about it. Brother got the chicken Parmesan with a hefty amount of pasta and enjoyed the crust on the chicken which is really pretty hard to do. And most important me. I got the spicy chicken pasta, only thing I'd want is more sauce on it. Wasn't too spicy to where it overwhelmed the dish, but a nice little reminder of why they named the dish that. Pretty solid portion, I mean yes it was $25 however it lasted me two meals. I'm happy if it tastes decent and is a big portion, but if it's a smaller portion it better be the best pasta of my life, but like I said the portion size and decent taste was enough to swing my 5 star review. ”
